Logic is the study of reasoning. It investigates the level of correctness of the reasoning found in arguments. An argument is a group of statements of which one (the conclusion) is claimed to follow from the others (the premises). A statement is a sentence that is either true or false. Every statement is either true or false; these two possibilities are called “truth values.” A convenient and helpful way to organize truth values of various statements is in a truth table. At the end of this module, among other things, students will gain very good understanding of construction of truth table in logic, definition and types of mapping, determination of mapping position, value, composition, and inverse of a function, and joint case.
