Sensory receptors and organs are specialized organs like the eye, nose, ear, skin and mouth. They help to convey raw sensory stimuli and translate them into signals the nervous system can use. At the end of this course, among other things, students will gain very good understanding of the types of sensory structures, sensory receptors and sensations of the skin, senses of smell and taste, eye and ear structures and functions, and deafness and care of the ear.
