There are different supporting tissues and systems in plants and animals. The skeleton is a major framework present in most vertebrates that provides support, shape and protection to the tissues and organs in animals. At the end of this course, among other things, students will gain very good understanding of skeletal materials and their functions, types of skeletons, vertebrate skeleton, joints and its types, supporting tissues in plants and their functions.
